This might be my favorite section, because here I can share solutions that you really may not have stumbled across, and they might make a world of difference, like some of them have for me.
Google Business - if you have a local business, make sure you take control of your Google Business profile. This helps you show up on Google Maps, show accurate hours for your business, add photos, and so much more. Services like Boast.io and VocalVideo.com can be used to gather customer testimonials and showcase them on your website. You can do something similar with review services. Wavebox - do you use a ton of tabs in your browser? Do you use multiple browsers so you can log into different accounts in the same services, like one for work and one for personal? Both of these issues made the web difficult for me until I found Wavebox. This one browser lets me stay logged into multiple instances of any software at the same time, breaks tab usage into topics / projects, puts things to sleep (when not being used) to speed up my computer, etc. Expect it to take a couple days to get this set up how you like it and get used to it. Once you do … you will thank me! You’re welcome. ;) Text Blaze - add this free extension to your Chrome browser or any Chromium based browser (including Wavebox) and you can start typing a few letters to insert a much longer text. A low-cost upgrade lets you add form fields and dynamic dates, automate calculations, and more. For instance, you could use /zoom to automatically insert your personal Zoom link instead of having to go copy it every time you want to invite someone to an online meeting. If you do anything repetitive, like sending similar emails repeatedly but needing to add specifics to it, Text Blaze makes it easy. MailTrack - there are a few services for tracking the emails you send, but this one is affordable and just works. You have to pay to remove their signature, which I recommend. But if you pay for a year, it’s just $5/month. Know when people have opened or clicked in emails. Sometimes invaluable. TawkTo - ever want to put a chat feature on your website so you can interact in real-time with your customers? This one is robust and free. Lets you know who’s on your website right now; you can wait for them to start a chat, or you can reach out to ask if they have any questions. You can automate reaching out, set up automated snippets for quick replies, and much more. Did I mention it’s free? They also offer extremely cheap options for live chat agents if you need someone interacting with visitors for you. Linq Digital Business Cards - why just use a paper business card when you could use one that’s as robust as a website and that lets people instantly save your contact info on their phone? There are several digital business card options out there, but Linq is possibly the most robust. Get started for free with written and visual content and basic analytics; upgrade inexpensively for embedded videos, forms, advanced analytics, and more. A digital business card doesn't stop you from still using paper cards. But your paper card can include a QR code, letting people scan it with their phones and instantly taking them to all the digital assets you want to share with them. |
